We live in Wellington, where we sometimes watch movies at the Ritz Theatre. Wellington is in Texas, almost 2 hours from Amarillo. It's a small town and lots of buildings don't get used anymore.
We took pictures of lots of buildings in the old downtown area. I hope you like them:
This is an old gas station.
My Daddy says there's a fence around it because they're planning to restore it.
This building doesn't have a window any more.
This was a video store that's closed now. I could still see videos on the shelf when I looked in the window.
This street is made out of bricks. "Follow the red brick road!"
I think it's interesting that there's stuff covering the windows.
In this picture I can see a sign that's dirty and broken glass from the window. This building is closed, like lots of the buildings in town.
The sign is faded and not showing the colors very well. Look how pretty the sky is!
This yard had a little, old car. I don't think it still works...
Here is an old Coca-Cola cooler.
There were lots of little ant hills on the ground here. Daddy likes the composition of this shot. I like the little circle on the trailer hitch.
This was in back of the downtown buildings.
This building was full of interesting old things inside.
Nobody shops here any more. Nobody works there anymore either!
This tree grew into the building. It's pretty interesting!
Look, there's no roof anymore!
Here's a mailbox at an old bank. I opened it, but it just had trash in it.
This building was a state bank a long time ago, but not any more!
I liked walking around town with Daddy and a camera. I will be posting some more photos and also other things I enjoy in life!
